CCJ in Tokyo: Collection Survey & Professional Exchange
November 22—26th
Tokyo, multiple locations
We are very excited to embark on our first Collection Survey & Professional Exchange program in Tokyo this November. Partnering with archivists from the Moving Image Archiving & Preservation program at New York University, we are launching our collection survey research program and presenting two workshops.
November 22—25th
The four-day research will be CCJ’s first Collection Survey at an artist’s studio. The research will produce comprehensive documentation of the artist's works in their various formats, as well as a preliminary analysis of their condition and preservation needs.
November 25
This closed-door workshop at Mori Art Museum will gather media art curators to discuss practices of digital asset management. Presentation will be given by Laurie Duke, Head of Administration at Grey Art Gallery and MIAP graduate. *Please note this is not open to the public.
November 26th
Co-presented with Nihon University College of Art and Japan Society of Image Arts & Sciences, the day-long workshop will feature presentations by Professor Mona Jimenez, Associate Director of NYU’s MIAP program.
This program is made possible in part, by the generous support from the Japan-U.S. Friendship Commission.
